Italian leather handbags

Posted by fashiondevo on July 6, 2007

leather-handbag.jpg
Italians designers have always been in demand for their creativity, originality and quality. Italian leather handbags and shoes are world renown for durability, sophistication and style.

The most important accessory a woman has which she carries everywhere she goes is her handbag. If you look back you will notice that through all times and ages women always carried a handbag no matter of the occasion.

The quality of leather is the main reason why handbags made from this material were and will always be in demand. Women love Italian leather handbags and most of the time carry half of the house in it due to which it is very important that the bag is strong and durable. A handbag should be able to take in its stride with ease everyday wear and tear and still look presentable at the end of the day.

A handbag must also ensure style and sophistication; even though we may not have time to keep up with the season’s fashion. A trendy handbag may make all the difference we need and Italian leather handbags provide just that. Besides being strong and durable you can count on the fact they are exquisite looking and always in style.

Ladies bags come in many sizes and shapes, which will satisfy any taste and fit any budget. However, it is important to take a minute and choose the bag that matches you and your personality best. Here are a few tips that may help you in the future:

Never choose a bag that looks too large for you, even if you like to carry everything you own in it. There are Italian leather handbags, which can provide you with the space you desire but not look too large for your frame.

By the same token, don’t choose a bag that is too small for your frame as well, especially if you are heavy built. Small Italian leather handbags are meant to be only for an evening out at the restaurant where formal wear is necessary or other such occasions.

Most of us women when looking for an everyday handbag we generally want something that is big enough to carry everything we simply cannot do without during the day. The best way to achieve this is to look for Italian leather handbags with multiple pockets, which can accommodate everything we have in mind and not mix them up in the process.

Have you ever been holding your bag while trying to juggle the baby and the groceries at the same time? Although most moms can pass as Super Woman, we’ll take any help we can get. Why not look for Italian leather handbags that have a long shoulder strap? If you do this, you’ll be able to throw the bag over your shoulder and free up your hands for more important things, like your children.

PRADA

Posted by fashiondevo on July 3, 2007

prada.jpgThere’s no question that designer handbags are all the rage these days. They are a must-have accessory for fashion-conscious women around the globe, and can be seen gracing the arms of such diverse consumer groups as Japanese high school girls, European supermodels, and powerful American executives. I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter so much which designer bag you actually own — simply being in possession of one is enough to get some attention these days.

Although there are lots of designer brand names out there to choose from, I’ve found that I like Prada purses the best. Prada purses come in many different styles, including messenger bags, pochettes, handbags, and backpacks. They are made from a variety of materials, but the most recognizable and popular ones are manufactured from soft black nylon with leather straps and metal hardware accents. And of course no offering from this design house would be complete without the inverted triangle logo.

If you think Prada purses sound rather simple, you’re right. That’s probably why I like them so much. I own one of the messenger-style bags, and have to say that I’m very impressed with it overall. First, the bag is so classic and versatile that it goes with any outfit that I wear. It looks equally as fabulous with a weekend ensemble consisting of jeans and a sweater as it does with my regular workday business suits. Not many other designer handbags give you that much flexibility in choosing your look.

A second reason that I love my Prada purse is because of its durability. Let’s face it: with other designer bags, you have to be extremely cautious about such things as the weather, spills, and stains. For example, I know a few women who refuse to carry makeup or pens in their designer handbags for fear of ruining the lining if a cap happens to fall off. I really wouldn’t have the energy to be constantly vigilant about what I’m putting in my handbag, and think that kind of behavior sort of defeats the purpose of carrying one around. With my black nylon Prada purse, I never have to worry about such things. The material is naturally stain-resistant and is very easy to clean. After nearly two years of constant daily use, my bag looks as good as new.

Finally, I recommend Prada purses because they are a good value compared to other designer handbags. Sure, there are all-leather offerings in Prada’s lineup that retail for more than a thousand dollars, but those are the exceptions rather than the rule. The nylon bags and backpacks are all very affordable — comparatively speaking, of course. I was able to buy a Prada purse and a matching wallet for less than the price of most other designer handbags alone. So if value is as important a factor in your purchasing decision as the quality of the handbag or the name on it, then I suggest you consider going with a Prada purse. Hopefully, you’ll end up enjoying your new bag as much as I’ve enjoyed mine!

Finding The Perfect Hairstyle for Prom

Posted by fashiondevo on May 10, 2007

promhair.jpgFinding The Perfect Hairstyle for Prom

One of the most important things to do while getting ready for prom is finding the perfect hairstyle. The first thing to do when you are trying to decide that perfect hairstyle for prom is to look at your prom dress. Look at your dress, imagine yourself in it, play around with and just think to yourself what type of look would really go great with this dress. Play with your hair while trying on your dress. Try moving your hair up and down seeing what would be a good style to go with your prom dress.

If you are having trouble with finding hairstyles the perfect place to go to is you’re nearest drugstore or grocery store. You can flip through the hair magazines and come up with great ideas that will look perfect for the big night. Some issues even have prom-selected hairstyles for you to choose from. Look through the magazines and decide what type of look would work best for you. Decide if you want an up-do, a down look, or maybe a total unique hairstyle style. Make sure that the magazine that you decide to buy has at least 5 hairstyles that you would like to try out for prom. Just in case one might not work out as well as you thought it would. If you have problems finding hairstyles in the magazines, or maybe you are short on cash another way to turn is the Internet. There are thousands of places you can go to on the web that have pictures of prom hairstyle to help you on the big day. Once again make sure you have more than one photo to print out.

Once you get home, narrow down your main choices on the best hairstyles. Then visit a hair solon, and speak to a hairdresser that can make your hairstyle come to life. Make sure you do this at least a month before prom. Speak to your hairdresser; show her the pictures of the hairstyles you have selected. She will probably give you her opinion on what will work out best. Trying out the hairstyle before prom will give you a more accurate idea of how your hair will look for prom. You want to make sure it looks good. After all, you don’t want to feel insecure about a new look on prom night. Especially if you are trying a new haircut, or a new hair color.

After your hairdresser finishes your “maybe” prom do, go home and check it out. Try on your dress again and you can see for yourself a little preview of the big night. Does your hair look good with the dress? Or do you need to go back and try something else before prom? Make sure you are completely satisfied with the hairstyle of your desire.
One more thing that you can do to make your hairstyle come to life is by having hair accessories. The best place to find hair accessories is at your nearest mall. Make sure to visit all the accessories stores. Claire’s specializes in cute accessories. Play around with the accessories, put them close to your hair. How do they look? Do they go with your dress? There are many choices to decide from. Hairclips, tiara’s, sparkle pins, as well as many others. Decide what look is best for you and make sure you choose the right colors to accessorize with.

Once again you can go home and see how it all flows together or you can just imagine and decide what will work best. Whatever you choose you know your own style and what will work best for you. Have fun and enjoy the big night.

If you have a special event coming up, you are probably looking for the perfect dress to wear. How you feel can be greatly affected by what you are wearing. If you find the perfect dress, you are going to feel like a million bucks. In turn, you will be more likely to have a great time. Luckily, there are many great places to look for dresses for special occasions.

You can look in any number of retail stores for dresses for special occasions, but you should do a few things before you go. Decide what you are looking for, and that may help you narrow down where you go shopping. This will save you a lot of time, effort, and frustration. Match the color and style to the type of event you are planning to attend, and go from there. If you don’t feel like trekking through numerous stores in your search for dresses for special occasions, you can begin by looking online. A search should yield you unlimited places from which to choose. You don’t even have to buy online, you can just browse through each store and have a look at their selection. Shopping on a Budget

Posted by fashiondevo on May 2, 2007

If you’re looking to save money, one of the best ways to save is to cut down on your unnecessary expenses. This can range from having one less meal at a restaurant every week to moving to a smaller apartment. Cutting down on expenses doesn’t necessarily mean that you don’t buy as many things; you can save quite a bit if you buy the same items at lower prices.

Buying discounted clothes is a great way to save, since you need to buy some clothes one way or another. Though many people, myself included, try to avoid buying clothes we don’t need, sometimes a new job or just boredom with your own wardrobe will prompt you to go clothes shopping. Most clothes in department stores are sold at a significant markup, which means that if you pay attention and wait for a sale or a clearance you can get discounted clothes and pay ½ as much as you would if you were to buy the clothes at their retail prices. This holds true for men’s, women’s, and even children’s clothes in almost every department store in America. Watch for particularly deep discounts right after the holidays when stores are trying to clear out the inventories they’ve built up for the holiday season. Also, look for sales at the end of seasons. Leftover winter clothing is usually sold at deep discounts when spring rolls around, and summer clothes can be picked up for a song in late fall. The best way to pick up discounted clothes at rock-bottom prices is to keep an eye on the types of clothes you want over the course of a few months, not buying until they go on sale. This strategy will let you get the best bargains in retail department stores.

Now a days, you don’t have to shop at places like the Salvation Army, or Goodwill outlet. Many people scoff at the idea of buying pre-owned discounted clothes. Sometimes it can be a fun idea and you can find some really great vintage items. If you’re not up to wearing other people’s clothing you can always go to low-buget stores like Old Navy, Marshall’s and other oulets. Some places, will have suits and dresses from top designers like Polo and Dolce & Gabanna, clothes in great condition at amazing prices. All of these clothing are pretty much like the orginals, the stores allow you to dress in designer clothes at department store prices. It may take a little more hunting in order to track down good deals. However, if you’re willing to sort through the racks and racks of clothes you can often snag some amazing deals.

Tips For Getting Ready for Prom

Posted by fashiondevo on April 25, 2007

Prom is a day that you have been dreaming about for a long time. You are going to want everything to be as perfect as possible from the top of your hair to the style of shoes on your feet. Prom can be a handful when getting ready but with some helpful tips you will be able to handle Prom like a pro.

1. Proms can cost a lot of money so make sure you have enough cash before you buy anything. If you haven’t been saving money in the months before hand, I’m sure your parents will help you with some extra cash. Just be sure not to take advantage of their generosity. By the time you have paid for tickets, bought an outfit and arranged transportation your money might be a little low. Some ways in which you can cut back on some money is by going with a group of friends, maybe even going by yourself. Prom can be very expensive so be careful and spend your money wisely.

2. Have you bought your shoes and accessories yet? If you haven’t, make sure you get your shoes and accessories in a timely fashion. You want to have time to break in your shoes. After all, you don’t want to trip and fall on the night of your prom. When you are buying heels, test them out first. Stand them up on a smooth surface, and tap them a little bit. If the heels fall then that means they are fragile and you have to be careful when walking in them. When you buy your accessories make sure you have the right colors and that nothing clashes with your dress. Your dress is very important part of prom, like you already know. So make sure it is the exact way that you want it. If your dress is not up to part make sure you take it to a tailor to make further adjustments.

3. On the day of prom make sure that all of the shops that you might have to get last minute things from are open. Some of these might include flower stores, dress shops, tuxedo places and many more. The worst thing that could happen is that the store of which your date’s tuxedo is from is closed on the day of prom.

4. If you want a corsage for prom night make sure you go with your date to pick out what color you want and the arrangement in which you want your flowers. Most guys don’t know what type of corsage to get and chances are he will wind up getting something that you might not like. Also make sure you remind him to pick up your corsage and put it in the fridge before he picks you up for prom. Your date might have a lot on his mind and forget to pick it up.

5. Make sure that you confirm all your appointments at least 3 weeks before prom. You want to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Confirm all hair, nails, transportation, and make-up. Be sure that your date has everything together as well, after all you want to make sure things are perfect for the big night. When you get your hair. Make sure to wear a button down shirt when you have your hair done. You don’t want to mess up your fresh do.

6. Last but not least, enjoy yourself, everything always has a way of working out even if it’s not according to plan. Prom is fun and stressing about it will only make it a bad experience.

ENJOY THE VIDEO OF GREAT PROM LOOKS!!!!!!!

Edwardian Jewelry

Posted by fashiondevo on April 25, 2007

edwardin.jpg At the beginning of the Edwardian period Edward VII, the eldest son of Queen Victoria was King. During the Edwardian period you could see elegance and luxury among the rich and powerful in everything that they own and wore. Times however become hard once King Edward passed away and the war broke out 4 years later.

The Edwardian period as we know was a short time between 1901 and 1910 but during the time period the jewelry that was established and created was simply breathtaking work. Most of the jewelry centered around what appeared to be lace that was constructed with platinum and diamonds. It was clearly high-class society art. One piece in which designers of this time period loved to work with were gemstones and particularly in the shapes of pears. The strength that the platinum carried allowed invisible settings to the metal, which gave the jewelry a soft thin, lightweight appeal, which captured the femininity of the fashion at the time.

Since feathers and lace was a favorite to many at in this time period platinum was the best metal to make such open work designs, which often mimic that style. It also created the perfect edges for the uses of diamonds and filigree.

One of the biggest influences of jewelry fashion was The Princess of Wales, also know as the wife of Edward. Her name was Princess Alexandra. When she was traveling in India she fell in love with the jewelry worn by the Indian princess so she too embraced her style. Her two favorites styles included the sautoirs which were long ropes of chains or pearls that ended in tassels and the diamond aigrettes which were feathers worn as hair ornaments. Alexandra also had a favorite stone called the amethyst which possessed a beautiful contrast of widely used palettes of white on white and beautiful soft pastels.

Some other time periods that had an influence is Edwardian jewelry involved the Rocco and Neo-classical Eras. The styles include designs such as flowers, wreaths, garland, and swag design motifs. As well as the Victorian bow which was produced in fine mesh in order to resemble some of the delicate fabrics and styles of the current fashion trends.

Platinum was also used to create other styles such as brooches, rings and pendants. Most of the jewelry during the Edwardian time period was very expensive but there were less expensive choices to choose from if you didn’t have the means. Some of these pieces included the half hoop bangles which were set with pearls, bar brooches, diamonds, colored stones, gypsy rings which were worn by both women and men, half hoop, snake rings and gold chains bracelets that were set with pearls and turquoise. Another feature that was very popular was star setting.

Edwardian jewelry will always be classy, elegant, luxurious pieces that are still high in demand even today. One can only wonder what other wealthy pieces could have been produced if it was not for the war which put an end to all of the prosperity and beauty that was used in the jewelry. One could try to resemble their beauty but the art will never truly again be recaptured.

There are still places where you can buy Ewardian Jewelry sites such as http://www.faycullen.com/edwardian_jewelry.html carry many pieces. As well as Ebay where you are more likely to find orginal pieces.

In general people wear accessories to complete an outfit or to style it up. Some accessories include jewelry, handbags, eyewear, shoes, and hats. Shoes are a very important part of an outfit, they play the role of dressing up an outfit, or dressing down. More importantly they protect your feet from harmful things laying on the ground. Some name brands that are best are Nike, Bakers, Adidas, DC, and Reebok. If you were looking for more of a classy pair of shoes the best choice would be Bakers. Nike, Adidas, DC and Reebok are better for sports or casual. You can wear hats for styling an outfit or protecting your head from the sun. Follow Your Own Fashion Sense.

Posted by fashiondevo on April 7, 2007

A lot of younger girls, and even some older ones, are hopelessly smitten with celebrity fashions. Though I don’t think there is anything wrong with this, it can be a problem. Some girls are trying to wear celebrity fashions that are entirely too much for them. When a twelve-year-old girl has a thong peeking up above her jeans, you have to cringe a bit, and wonder why her mother let her out of the door that morning. Sex sells, but should it be selling to that young of an age group?

There is something about celebrity fashions that catches the imaginations of teenagers and adults alike. They always have the latest fashions, and celebrities are worshiped in our world. They have the money to buy the newest fashions, and they have to keep one step ahead. There is nothing wrong with wanting to wear celebrity fashions, but you should know that there is a good way to go about it, and after that, you have crossed the line into the absurd. You really have to consider what you look like when putting something on, celebrity look or not. Many of the clothes are meant to be larger than life, and they should stay on television and out of your wardrobe.

Celebrity fashions are often dictated by fashion designers. When it comes to big events, most celebrities don’t even pick out or pay for their own clothing. Designers give them dresses to wear. If you want to get that particular dress, I hope you have a lot of money to blow on clothing. Another thing to consider is lifestyle. A celebrity is expected to be larger than life (take Cher for example) but most of us end up looking ridiculous if we copy some of the celebrity fashions you see in the magazines. Some things should stay on the pages of a magazine and should never be worn to the grocery store.

If you like celebrity fashions, you should make a few adjustments before you go shopping. Don’t copy anyone, because you want to be yourself first and foremost. If you like certain celebrity fashions, you can incorporate them into your own look. Don’t be a look alike, be an original. Take your favorite parts of celebrity fashions and find a way to make them work within your wardrobe while keeping your own personality and taste involved. You may find you love this more than following the celebrity fashions to the letter. Nothing is more fashionable than being yourself.
